Dr. Michael Regan is a physician executive and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the Network of Virtual Physicians (NVP), where he leads national initiatives in telehealth innovation, quality assurance, and digital clinical strategy. Licensed in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., he combines more than 15 years of clinical expertise with a decade of healthcare leadership to build scalable, patient-centered virtual care solutions.

At NVP, Dr. Regan oversees clinical operations across multiple service lines that revolve around virtual urgent care, obesity medicine, and preventive health. His work focuses on ensuring that technology-driven care models maintain the same standard of excellence and compassion found in traditional medicine. Under his leadership, NVP has advanced new frameworks for physician enablement, quality metrics, and compliance across multi-state networks.

Beyond his CMO role, Dr. Regan is a former Clinical Director and current faculty mentor for the All in Remote Physician Academy (AIR), a professional training platform that helps physicians transition to digital practice, achieve multi-state licensure, and operate both efficiently and compliantly in virtual settings. He also serves as a strategic advisor to leading health technology companies such as Nutrisense, Alan Meds, and Dynamic Health Institute, where he helps align medical integrity with sustainable business growth.

Dr. Regan began his medical career in emergency medicine, completing his residency at UMass Memorial Medical Center after earning his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University. He went on to lead emergency departments across Massachusetts, including serving as Chief of Emergency Medicine during the COVID-19 pandemic and coordinating a large-scale hospital evacuation after a catastrophic flood. Those experiences shaped his resilience and reinforced his commitment to systems thinking and innovation in healthcare delivery.

A personal health challenge later transformed both his perspective and his purpose. After overcoming obesity, sleep apnea, and renal failure, he shifted his professional focus toward metabolic health and virtual medicine. He achieved board certification in Obesity Medicine in 2024 and has since dedicated his work to expanding access to compassionate, stigma-free obesity care.

Today, Dr. Regan is recognized for building high-performing virtual teams, advancing regulatory and licensing frameworks, and mentoring clinicians nationwide. His work bridges the gap between technology and humanity—ensuring that the future of medicine remains both innovative and deeply personal.
